Episode 141: 4/27/26 & 4/30/26

Episode 141 features life long Berkshire native Asa Hardcastle’s Top 5 songs from his Top 5 from the year of his birth: 1975. About the task of assembling the list Asa said, “This was WAY harder than I thought. 1975 seems to have a ton of great albums. I am still second guessing some of my choices here. I was also surprised how few female artists I had to choose from. These are all from albums that I own.”

The making of a good compilation tape is a very subtle art. There are many do's and don'ts. First of all you're using someone else's poetry to express how you feel. This is a delicate thing.

Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz

Interestingly enough “Weird Al” Yankovic drummer Jon “Bermuda” Schwartz’s first instrument was the accordion but by age nine he had changed to the drums. He played in his school band, youth orchestras and in 1974 his first rock group won the L.A. County Battle of the Bands. In 1981 he met Al Yankovic at the Dr. Demento Radio Show and soon after became “Weird Al’s” first and only drummer. In 45 years of creating original and song parodies with the “Weird Al” band Jon has become practiced in drumming and sound creation in all manner of song genres and styles on both an acoustic drum set and though employing all manner of acoustic technology.
